About Deer Creek's Claire Bear "Claire" — In Loving Memory
Deer Creek’s Claire Bear “Claire” was far more than a beloved Mastiff—she was the heart of our family and, alongside Cletus, the foundation of our breeding program. Claire and Cletus shared an extraordinary bond, and together they gave us a remarkable litter of 16 puppies, including Clara and Champion Otis. Tragically, we lost Claire unexpectedly due to complications following her C-section. Her loss left an emptiness that words can never fully express. Although her time with us was far too short, Claire’s legacy continues through Clara, Otis, and the many Deer Creek dogs descended from them. We see pieces of her in their beauty, strength, gentle temperaments, and devotion. Claire was deeply loved, is dearly missed, and will forever hold a special place in our hearts and in the story of Deer Creek Mastiffs.
